If the user did not confirm the message window after a firmware update or powered the device off too quickly, files could be left corrupted. This resulted in a crash of the firmware at least if the german language was used. Only a green empty screen was presented to the user in this case.
WARNING:
- when prompted to restart the device after a firmware update, you MUST confirm this message with the Enter button. Then WAIT another 20-30 seconds to be on the safe side before you switch the power off and on again.
- with firmware version V1.18 we took steps to minimize the risk of file corruption. That is to say, that future firmware updates will be much less painful.
